Kristen Egnnor-Congressional Art Piece

The Congressional Art Competition is open to high school students annually. Three LCHS students chose to submit to this prestigious contest this year: Kristen Egnor, Kandi Meadows, and Kandyce Porter. These students had the challenge of creating an original work of art while also adhering to the policies of the House Office Building Commission, framing guidelines, and Congresswoman Carol Miller’s guidelines for our district. Their work was delivered to the WV Culture Center in Charleston, WV where it will undergo a review process. One winner will be chosen from each district to have their piece displayed in the U.S. Capitol Building’s Cannon Tunnel in Washingon D.C. for one year. On behalf of the LCHS staff and administration, we wish you the best of luck in this competition!
